Jonathan Nye
- Head Diving Coach -
Thank you so much for considering to join Metro Atlanta Divers, my name is Jonathan Nye and I'm looking forward to building a wonderful relationship with you and your diver. Diving with confidence and perform with excellence is our motto here and I'm praying that you enjoy your time on the pool deck and build confidence as a diver.
I began diving when I was 8 years old and dove year around, up until I was a senior in high school. My father, Ridge Nye, played a key role in my development as a diver. He was my summer league and high school coach and a lot of what I know now, I learned from his teachings.
After high school I dove under Dan Laak at the University of Georgia for two seasons. There I competed in many dual meets and dove well at the SEC Championship meets.
After college I wanted to follow in my father's footsteps and begin to coach. I started my coaching career as The Branches summer league coach in 1993 and have been coaching ever since. I now have been the community dive coach for Wesleyan School located in Johns Creek since 2003 and since 2016 have been the Windward Lake Club diving coach. Taking over Metro Atlanta Divers has been a dream of mine for many years. I'm so grateful for this opportunity and look forward to training with you.
Feel free to contact me with any questions about my program.

Jocelyn Pawcio spent 15 years as a competitive gymnast before transitioning to diving during her undergraduate years at Ithaca College, a Division III school located in Upstate New York. As a diver, she became a two-time NCAA All-American, earning her first All-American honor as a sophomore on the 3-meter board.
With over a decade of coaching experience in gymnastics and six years in diving, Jocelyn brings a unique and well-rounded perspective to the athletes she mentors. Her coaching style is deeply influenced by the guidance and support of her own mentors throughout her athletic career.
At Ithaca College, Jocelyn was coached by Chris Griffin, her head coach and one of the top Division III collegiate diving coaches in the country. Under his leadership, Ithaca’s diving program secured seven National Titles in just ten years.
She was also supported and inspired by her stepfather, Tom Quinn, a legendary coach at SUNY Cortland. Tom played a pivotal role in Jocelyn’s athletic journey, instilling the core values and discipline that continue to shape her coaching philosophy. Over his storied career, Tom’s athletes earned All-American honors 45 times, with several achieving the distinction multiple times.
Today, Jocelyn is committed to carrying forward the legacy of her mentors by fostering a positive, growth-oriented environment where athletes can thrive both in and out of the sport. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes hard work, technical excellence, and most importantly having fun!
