Coaches Corner

2023 is coming to an end and I would like to take this time to look back on the incredible year we had.  Christopher and I have truly loved coaching each and everyone of our kids that have come through our program.  Even though he and I have been coaching for some time now, it still brings so much joy to us to be able to teach these kids how to dive and we hope that we have been a positive influence in their lives.  I was excited to go to more competitions this year and to watch our team grow.  We saw our divers really excel and overcome some hurdles and improve on a lot of their dives.  Christopher and I both are really looking forward to another very successful year coaching.  Thank you parents for giving us this opportunity to coach your child, we greatly appreciate your trust.  Here's to a wonderful 2024!!!

Thank you,

Coach Jonathan

Well another year has passed and what a successful year it was. We started 2021 finishing up our high school diving season and went right into spring and summer training and back around to the start of our busy high school season.  Christopher and I both saw many divers improve on skills that some were working on for some time, so seeing their progress was very rewarding for all of us.  So here we are, January 2022 and I'm looking forward to training more divers this year and excited to see their improvements over the season. I owe much of our clubs success to the support that is given out by all our wonderful parents. So thank you all very much for believing in Christopher and I and allowing us to coach your children.

Thank you,

Coach Jonathan

Just a quick note here to say thank you again to all my parents that have enrolled their children in our program.  Our success, is due mainly because of your loyalty and trust that you give Christopher and I and we greatly appreciate all that you have done for us.  We truely enjoy coaching your kids and can't thank you enough.

It's November 10th, 2020 and I'm sitting here thinking about how wonderful it is that Christopher and I are able to coach such incredible divers, we are very blessed.  It's been a real dream of mine for many, many years to operate my own diving program and I have to say that it brings me so much joy to be doing this, it honestly does.  Thank you again parents for entrusting us to develop your children into talented divers.

Thank you,

Coach Jonathan

Thank you to all the parents who have entrusted Christopher and I in coaching your children.  Each month our program is growing and I can't thank you all enough for the support you have showed these past few months.

Back when I was diving year-round, I would get pretty nervous before each practice.  I didn't like to practice the difficult dives because let's face it, diving is an intimidating sport and the fear of hitting the board and or smacking the water is a real fear.  I did learn over time that the stronger I was and the more time I put towards diving with dryland exercises and performing the actual dives, my fear slowly went away.  With that, I want to encourage each of you to put forth the effort to work out more and train in the water because it does help with that fear.  Visualizing each dive helps a lot but that takes practice, so develop those skills as well.

Thank you,

Coach Jonathan

What an incredible first day of practice.  Thank you divers for allowing me to train you and I'm so glad you had a great first day. Stay tuned for many more exciting practices.

Thank you,

Coach Jonathan

Just ask any good parent what they want for their kids, and they will say they want them to be happy, healthy, and successful in life. When kids enroll with Metro Atlanta Divers and work with Coach Jonathan and his coaching staff, not only do they learn the essential skills required to be skilled divers; kids also learn the valuable social skills and gain the confidence they need to be leaders both on and off the diving board. The best leaders in sports and in the world of business must learn to communicate their ideas and instructions with crystal clarity. When it comes to diving lessons, communication skills are taught as early as divers taking instructions from their coach. Diving involves the ability to focus and concentrate, it relies on intricate and technical accouterments, and it demands emotional and psychological maturity in the face of both victory and defeat. Students who enroll with us learn to listen and take direction. Once students follow Coach Jonathan and his staff's instructions and develop as skilled divers through his proven methods and leaderships, they take a lot away from the experience and lead by example while doing things the right way, as opposed to a method that appears to have shortcuts. This in turn grants confidence, listening skills, and a belief in themselves.

Thank you,

Coach Jonathan
